STE JILL

The 124-foot STE JILL is a composite semi-displacement tri-deck featuring exterior styling and interior design by Jonathan Quinn Barnett, with naval architecture by the Delta Design Group.

The modern European interior was designed as a dramatic backdrop for the owner’s art collection from Europe and Asia. An exotic selection of marbles, granites, and woods is juxtaposed against light silk fabrics and wall hangings to create a tasteful mélange of texture and color. Eight different woods, including rosewood, makore pomelle, and madrona burl, were used to bring to life the owner’s love of rich, inviting spaces.

One of her most noteworthy details: she successfully features more headroom throughout her interior spaces than one might be accustomed to experiencing. This was achieved by raising the bulwark and sheerline, and thus the interior decks, to give a minimum average height of 7 feet throughout. Other exceptional details include over 100 elements of wood in each of the stateroom doors, as well as handcrafted seahorse-motif handles on all cabinets and drawers, and silverleaf dining and stateroom ceiling coves. An extensively equipped gym can be converted into a comfortable double stateroom if required—yet another thoughtful and practical detail. The main salon features an open staircase that connects to the modern bridge and spacious sky lounge. Outside on the boat deck are a Jacuzzi, a barbecue, and a large dinette, plus tenders. The flybridge has an additional seating area, where the table can convert into a sunbed if desired.

Delta’s hallmark for quality engineering prevails on STE JILL. There’s an ample-sized engine room for the twin Detroit 16V-92TAs, and an equally spacious engineer’s workstation. Decoupled engines and gears improve noise levels, as do the custom muffler and exhaust systems for overall efficiency. A hydraulic passerelle designed for European docking folds compactly into a box in the lazarette when not in use. Bringing together nouveau European styling and a flavor of the Orient, STE JILL is the successful result of an owner’s personal passions, a designer’s inspiration, and Delta’s masterful craftsmanship.
